About Kylie

Kylie Horner, LCSW – Licensed Therapist in NYC and Beacon, NY

I’m a therapist because I care about the realities of being human—how much we carry, and how little space there often is to talk about it.

I work with adults who seem “fine” on the outside but feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck internally. Maybe you’re questioning old patterns, trying to understand where certain reactions come from, or just wanting things to feel less heavy. Therapy offers space to untangle what’s been hard to hold alone and to approach it with more clarity and self-awareness.

My approach is integrative, combining psychoanalytic therapy with creative tools like EMDR and mindfulness to help people access and move through what words alone can’t always reach. We’ll explore how past experiences shape your present—emotionally and relationally—and pay attention to how your nervous system responds.

Before starting my private practice, I worked in clinics and outpatient programs supporting people through trauma and abuse, eating disorders, grief, and life transitions. I’m currently a psychoanalytic candidate at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy and also see patients at their Manhattan training clinic.

This work is personal to me. I know what it’s like to carry things quietly—and the relief that can come from naming and exploring them together.
