Psychotherapy in NYC and Beacon, NY

I work with adults who seem “fine” on the outside but are carrying a lot internally. Therapy offers a space to slow down and make sense of what’s been hard to hold alone.

Blending psychoanalytic therapy, EMDR, and mindfulness, I support the steady, in-depth work of shifting old patterns and opening space for something new.

About My
Approach

Integrative and Relational

Many symptoms—like anxiety, disconnection, or self-doubt—can often be traced back to early emotional and relational experiences. Since our nervous systems are still developing in childhood, overwhelming moments can get stored in ways that don’t evolve with us—shaping how we feel and relate long into adulthood.

Therapy offers space to revisit these patterns with the perspective and resources of your adult self. It’s a bit like a system update—helping your mind and body reprocess old information so you can engage with the present more fully. Drawing from contemporary psychoanalysis, EMDR, and mindfulness, this work supports both reflection and integration—making it possible to respond with greater clarity, flexibility, and choice.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the consultation process?

We’ll start with a full 45-minute consultation (virtual or in person) to talk through what’s bringing you in and get a feel for working together. If it doesn’t feel like the right fit, I’m always happy to offer recommendations or referrals.

Who do you typically work with?

Mostly adults in their 20s–40s who appear “together” but carry a lot internally—navigating things like anxiety, dating, marriages, or career stress.

What makes your approach unique?

Many therapists stop after grad school. I didn’t. I’ve completed years of specialized post-graduate training in both psychoanalytic therapy and attachment-focused EMDR. By combining these approaches, I offer a more comprehensive path to healing—working with both the mind and body.

I also stay active in academic and clinical communities, so the work stays up to date, and grounded in the most current theory and practice.
